How to wear Polka Dots?
Now that we have had the first taste of summer here in London, it is off with our cooly coats and out with our flimsy spring wardrobe essentials. When the sun is shining and our moods are automatically uplifted, making bolder wardrobe choices comes next. How to style polka dots may seem easy but if you are like me and shy away from prints year round then wondering what to pair with a busy polka dot print can be daunting.
Not to worry, as you can see below I Styled my polka dot bomber quite casually with a pair of Levi jeans, airforce one trainers and a lace cami top. I also had a large puffer cot with me as I took these before the sun arrived in London. However, I have had this blazer with years which I got in Dublin in Vintage shop. I don’t often wear it and thought I would mix up my winter style with some polka dots.
I chose a black cami as the polka dots were black, so it you are styling a top or trousers with different a different colour combination, choosing the colour of your print as trousers of a jacket if you have a polka dot blouse is a safe way to complete a simple yet more stylish outfit.
Usually I am a black jeans girl, however I have been neglecting these Levis and I love how they fit, more comfortable than skinny jeans I chose the light blue Levi mom jeans. The worked perfectly with the polka dot bomber as it is light yellow so the lighter colours complimented each other as with matching the black polka dots and black lace cami from Topshop.
As for shoes, I like comfort so airforce ones in white worked with the light elements of this outfit, while I chose a black handbag, keeping the darker and lighter shades working in harmony with the outfit as a whole.
